Honestly, if you’re not this excited to be alive Honestly, if you’re not this excited to be alive, I’m not sure we can be friends. To Firefly’s credit, his person is at the end of this road (I’m not it😆). Taking this level of energy into my weekend as I work up the courage to walk the fence line and happily gage the amount of work I’ll need to do to and maintain a good attitude about it. #wildwood #fieldspaniel

And just like that, we’re settled. We took a l And just like that, we’re settled. We took a longer route, opting for an older house that needs a little work, in exchange for acreage and the best wee community, access to trails and the ability to laugh outside loudly. Here our children can get dirty and stand on our dirt road, without my stomach dropping out. Our dogs are on @halocollar but if they do roam free, they’re likely joined by our neighbours dog. The kiddos walk to the bus with friends and people that smile easily. It’s funny to finally feel home. I feel safe here, a feeling that I struggled with back home, in a province where it was difficult to feel welcome. I didn’t notice the negativity that followed so many things until we were able to remove ourselves from it, and I’m so happy that we had the opportunity to, even if it was a scary leap. #welcomeback #britishcolumbia #crosscountrymove

I have dreamed of the ocean for ages. We traded I have dreamed of the ocean for ages. We traded some very important things to be here-the security of family, the predictability of the every day, friendships. I hold these things in the back of my mind as I look out at the beauty of the place we live and try, as is the way when you are fortunate enough to be alive deep in the belly of a place that is, also, so very alive, not to take it for granted. ✨✌️

I have dreamed of the ocean for ages.

Visiting our new home today. We’ve been living i Visiting our new home today. We’ve been living in a rental for three months—and not a fun one. But when you have transported the better part of your pet sanctuary accompanied by a big old family, you take what you can get (and yes, have to overpay for a glorified campground rental). BUT it was worth it. To come across the country and find such a beautiful new home with such an incredible community. We’re happy to be *almost* home.

Once upon a time, a long time ago, there was a gir Once upon a time, a long time ago, there was a girl that had some pigs. When she found out that she had to move away, she sent them off to live at the local animal retirement home (otherwise known as Fertile Valley Farm) where they lived, happily, ever after❤️. Moving most of our dogs from coast to coast was an Moving most of our dogs from coast to coast was an absolute crap show, even though I’d say that it could have gone a lot worse. The truth was that having only four of the dogs and three of the cats with us was actually a break from the regular scene we have going on (@finn_mac803 literally trucked our rabbit, Guinea pigs, tortoise and hamster across the country in our SUV). But. We. Did. It. ✌️ And B.C.? Totally worth it. ❤️ #travellingwithpets #dogs #dogowners #catstagram #movingwithpets
